UPC MEDIA BOX,

    HI THERE,

    I HAVE AN APPARTMENT AND I HAD A UPC MEDIA BOX INSTALLED A FEW WEEKS BACK,BUT I HAVE MOVED AND WANT TO TAKE THE BOX WITH ME.I HAVE A UPC CONNECTION IN MY NEW PLACE BUT MY QUESTION IS THIS,
    CAN I USE THE MEDIA BOX IN MY NEW HOUSE WITHOUT TELLING UPC I HAVE IT AND THEM CHARGING ME FOR IT.I HAVE TRIED BUT IT SAYS NO SIGNAL AND WHEN I PUT MY UPC CARD IN THE MEDIA BOX IT SAYS WRONG UPC CARD ETC...IS THERE A CODE OR SOMETHIN I CAN PUT IN TO RESET IT???

    it can be activated at any address but you have to ring upc to do it

    The answer to the OPs original question is that the STB is the property of the cable company and can only be used with a legitimate subscription to that company.

    And as another posted said, please don't shout!
