    Evening All,
Anyone got any recommendations for a planer/thicknesser in the 200-€500 range? Had a quick look at Axminister but nothing caught my fancy. Thanks.

Whatever you do, dont buy a brand new planer thicknesser for that money. it will be rubbish without a doubt. have a look for a decent second hand one.

I very recently bought one of these http://www.donedeal.ie/for-sale/tools/1214351

for a not much more than your budget and its great, a very solid cast iron machine. dont be afraid to buy something thats old so long as its been taken care of, the one that i got is about 30 years old and its still going strong!
