I don't know about notes, I'm sure someone else can help you there. But as regards Irish coinage it's doubtful that you'll ever gather enough books to tell you "all there is to know" about them. Theres general ones that cover all the main coinage from the Hiberno-Norse period to modern, but they'd be very general and wouldn't cover all the different varieties or go into much detail or history. If that's what you want then I'd recommend "Coins and tokens of Ireland" by Seaby, it's from 1970 but you should be able to pick one up second hand for 15 to 20 euro. After that theres stacks of specialised books in various areas of Irish numismatics and also the series of "Irish numismatics" magazines that were published in the 70's & 80's. All the good stuff is out of print now, so you'd need to hunt them down and pay good money for them.
