    Hi all,

    help needed.........

trying to decide on insulation for our renovation project. House is in the region of 35 years old. It is a block construction with cavity.

The walls were filled with insulation at some stage. We are not certain if it is in any way complete or very patchy. All around window ops show evidence of insulation.

Considering now drylining (as think external insulation outside of our budget and also not convinced of the pay back on it)

    Q. Is the cavity insulation of any use at this stage? Is there anything that can be done with it?

    Q. What amount of inside insulation should we use and is there a limit with condensation risks (or other risks i'm not aware of )

    I'd appreciate any advice

Any idea of the overall width of the cavity and type and thickness of the insulation that's already there?
