Dia daoibh! Labhraím gaeilge beagán, níl gaeilge líofa agam.

I am going to post here in an effort to try improve my Irish.I think as a nation its very important we try hold onto our sovereignty, to rediscover our national identity. We should all at least be able to speak cúpla focail.....

    Cad é do bharúil seo?

Dia is Muire dhuit! Ok-- it is great to encourage the cúpla focal - thats's what Seachtain na Gaeilge is all about, there's a lot to be said for it as so many people do have good will towards Irish but were let down by the school system.

But we need to move on from the concept of the cúpla focal being the 'ceann scríbe' as in the finishing point.

And that's where we're banging our heads against a wall.

If we had a leader like DeV, Collins, etc. to inspire people this might change, but right now our best hope is the kids going to the Gaelscoileanna and the people campaigning to set up Gaelscoileanna and even meanscoileanna.... do whatever you can to advance that and you'll be helping to save Irish.

Or get fluent in Irish and encourage friends and family. I have two recruits of my own :)

Wonderful idea, like the Catholic Church make a rule that you must marry gaelgeoirs (or at least bring the children up as gaelgeoirs).

Now for the second part of my plan - breed like rabbits ;)

Fáilte anseo a Truthrevolution, tá súil agam go filleann tú ar an fóram seo! :) Bíonn sé deas ár teanga a úsáid, agus ní amháin gur ceart go beidh gach duine ábalta na 'cúpla focal' a úsáid, ach freisin go úsáidfidh siad iad!

    Go raibh maith agat!

Ba mhaith liom go filleann ar an fóram seo agus níos fearr a fháil ar an labhairt.

Uaireanta éiríonn sé ciúin anseo - ach ná bíodh imní ort snáth a tosú!
