Taken in Norwich last year. There is a great university there headed by a Irishman that hosts lectures by many Crews each year. The only hope any of us will ever get of meeting and greeting any of these great folks. We were told by the crew that they asked our Dep Of Eduacation here if they would like a visit from them and were told " NO Thanks"

    Feckin' typical!!

Instead we'll ram stupid stuff like Irish down their throats while passing the opportunity to get kids interested in real stuff like science and astronomy!

**apologies to fans of the Irish language,i just hated it at school!**

I would be really interested in getting the details of the crew's offer to visit and the Dept of Education's refusal.

Post any info or PM me the details.

I let you all know what the outcome is.

That makes me mad:mad: Its hard enough to get kids interested in anything scientific these days {speaking as a dad who has tried} but to see the Dept of Education turning down the chance to get these people to talk and inspire children..................I give up:(
