Thanks but am only looking for a very short file - maybe the first 10 secs on the anthem.
I dont have any audio editing equipment and it needs to be about 10sec long only.
    Help

Actually any frenchi style music about 5 secs long would do.
    Am goosed!
It for flash - I have an mp3 version of the anthem but I cannot get it to stop - plays the whole way through the presentation. I keep getting errors with play and stop buttons in my screens - keeps giving me duplicates etc. I only need 1 audio file

you could just adjust the volume of the clip, so that it continues playing but cannot be heard. If you go to the effects menu, select custom and place an evelope at the start, adjust them for the desired length of time you need to play, and then bring the point down to 0 for the remainder of the mp3 file.

other than that, the old version of windows movie maker used to allow audio editing, dont know about the new 1
