    Hi

My family are considering Malta for a short break next month. Im just wondering is there much for a 14 yr old girl there to do?

Also could you recommend a nice 4star family hotel? Where is the best part of the island to stay in?

Is it cheap for eating out etc

    thanks:)

we've been there loads of times. usually stay in the buggiba,st pauls bay aera. they are beside each other. splash and fun waterpark is good. it also has dolphin and sea lions, birds lizards etc. popeye village is pretty cool. its the set from the movie with robin willams. loads of day trips, blue lagoon, blue grotto, ferry goes daily to gozo. the local bars are nice and not to pricey. local beer cisk and hop leaf is good enough. eating out is good value. 2 adults starter and main course is from 12 euro up. lots of great bars on the side streets, dont be afraid to go into them. valletta is great for markets and sights. if you are getting a car there is so much to see. the bus service is good and cheap. if your missus is like mine she loves to shop. send her into biri kara the markets there are better then the ones in valletta. lots of small fishing villages to see. they always seem to have festivals going on. crazy fireworks. the local soccer clubs are fanatics. try out the matches in rabbat stadium. if you are looking for a nice, quality fancy resturant look for ta'casia near st pauls bay. its is perfect. hmmmm. we have stayed in the dolmen, clover, topaz and have rented flats through local estate agents. we found 1800hotels to be very good value

    hi
we're heading to Malta for the first time too.
    can give some advice?
    where did you stay?
how did you get from airport to hotel?
is it true that the taxi drivers overcharge turists?
    any advice appreciated.
    thanks.
    k

The taxi to the hotel was Euro20 from the airport and the bus service is meant to be great over there to travel around, you can get an all day pass for it
