If ya don't want massive data charges. Get. A data add on from vodafone if they offer it, if not disable the apn by changin it

I'd say all vodafone iPhones will be on 3.1.3
there is no way to jailbreak them yet

Is there a way to unlock them though?

has to be jailbroken in order to unlock it yourself....only option is to ask vodafone to unlock it for you...not sure if they are doing this??

I called in today to find out some info on it. Basically, no they won't unlock them for you.

Heres my situation; my ol' lad is allowed a free iPhone as an upgrade. He's currently on the highest bill tarif available with Vodafone, so they're only delighted to give him one. But he uses only crappy phones so I want to take full advantage of it, except I'm with Meteor PAYG.

So if I take it I'll have to jump onto Vodafone for a while until a Jailbreak is released for 3.1.3, then jump back onto Meteor?

Is this allowed or am I going too elaborate with this? Any other options available? How long before you're allowed to change networks again with PAYG phones?

It's ridiculous though. It's a bloody phone! Why won't they let us use it how we want to use it? They're gonna make money anyway from the monthly bill, why do they care how we use bloody use the phone?
