Heading to san fran in june with BA on a 747, not sure which one and have tried to find out, Seat guru is telling me that standard economy (world traveller) don't have power points at each seat? I would have thought in this day and age they would have them, even continental had them going to newark last march!

Any experience or suggestions? I know some airplanes have points for cleaning etc, does anyone know where these are on the 747's? or if seat guru is in fact correct at all?

It's correct. BA doesn't have power points in Economy/World Traveller.

You will need to upgrade to WT+ to get power.

what a pain in the a**!! Any idea how much they' charge to upgrade? I just rang them but they have to ring me back at some stage because their system won't give a price atm.

10 hour flight, was looking forward to playing some serious games to kill time

Can be twice or more the price of the WT ticket.

On the plus side BA do have good AVOD. You can check what will be playing on thier website.

the chances of paying that for a bit more room and a power port. I looked into what it gives you etc and you don't even get your own toilet for WT+... major waste of money.

Oh well, I'll have to make do with about 2 hours of game play and a whole lot of movies from BA
