Waiting for Activation - overnight!

Hi, picked up a new 3GS yesterday at 12 noon, port was to happen in two hours or so. Had an iphone previously, so activated the new one on itunes and re-sync'ed all my old data etc. (data works on wifi at home OK). Anyway, my o2 phone went offline at about 5pm, but as of yet I'm still getting the "no service" and "waiting…

Anyway, my o2 phone went offline at about 5pm, but as of yet I'm still getting the "no service" and "waiting for activation" messages on the iphone. Can't post on the vodafone forum either as I need to register first (and I need an active phone to do that!!)

Are there any problems in general with ports at the moment?
I rang customer support but they weren't too knowledgeable - maybe its too early in the morning (745am).
