On the RTE and Irish Times website there are video ads that just direct to some kids twitter?

I don't know how much it would cost but how the hell is this worth it?

Everything about it screams viral marketing campaign but I can't figure out what he could be selling. He seems to be advertising himself as some up and coming film director even going as far to call himself a young Kubrick.:D

That's the video that was on the Irish Times website. It's badly acted out and I recognize that granny from some tv show so wtf is going on here.

    Its not worth it.

Twitter is shit, and nobody cares about peoples' status updates, here is proof:

Turns out this was the latest foray into social media by Bord Gais, tied to the young kubrick account on twitter.
There's more background to what it was all about on channelship.ie.

So the ads on rte and the irish times would've come out of the bord gais ad budget, which makes a bit more sense than a random joe soap paying to advertise their own twitter page!

I'm still none the wiser as to what's going on/:confused:

I knew it was going to be advertising something but I never would have guessed a gas company.

So board Bord Gáis set up a fake twitter account pretending to be a young boy who wants to be a filmmaker and I'm suddenly supposed to make the big switch because of this?
