I don't know I am about to become very tabloidy....

I read in one news paper Pamela Flood was bullied in RTÉ, and the guys behind Dustin and Socky took the bully out and got him to say a **** load of bad thinks about people. (Justice IMO).

    I suppose The Afternoon Show.

Dollhouse getting a second series when others should have.

Ian Dempsey's move to Today FM, Claire Byrne's move to Newstalk and Gráinne Seoige to Sky.

Adrian Chiles looks like he's about to leave the BBC.

I met Claire Byrne once, her accent is much strong in real life, It was nearly like talking to the presenter of "A Song For Europe" on Fr. Ted.*

*Okay in fairness it was nothing like that, but she has a clushie accent. I don't know why she changes it.

Board generalisation I know but it is more correct than not.

Of course people from the country will tell me I’m wrong but what do you expect? Strong accents are hindrance for those in television or media both here and the UK. I dont forsee some with a pure Dundalk accent reading the news for example.

Do they not just have more neutral accents? The only person I can think of with an actual Dublin accent is Joe Duffy.
