Hey chaps, might make it over (08:30 bit early...) don't have races etc. to worry about unfortunately so this sounds like a good one - any idea of distance? I would be happy to go over the 100k myself as I need the milage. OK see you then.

8.30 sharp sounding increasingly unlikely. Have fun!

Cheers for the spin lads - my first with the Boards crew and really enjoyed it. Didn't make it up Kippure all the way, legs packed it in near enough the top and walked the rest.

The bike computer is goosed, but from bikeroutetoaster it was 92kms @ 3' 50'':
Dundrum, Enniskerry, Newtown Mount Kennedy, Slaughter Hill, Roundwood, Sally Gap, Britas, Terenure, Windy Arbour.

Bath time now, and disco nap :)

would have joined you guys but was feeling like a bit of solo spin. Great day out there, did a nice spin up to Kippure. Loads of cyclists out. Might do a similar spin tomorrow

Thanks Planetx for arranging spin and giving us a route and to Dirkvoodoo and Joker77 for the company. Grand day for it. PlanetX introduced us to 'Slaughter Hill' which became the subject of debate on the historical origins of it's name...! If anyone knows I'm sure we'd love to hear. Nice enough climb to get us going though. Onward to Roundwood after which we split with Dirk and PlatetX heading back to base, myself and Joker77 headed up over Sally Gap into a stinker of a headwind. Everyone was going the other way and now we know why. We paused briefly to take in the view (and oxygen) above Lough Tay (?) before heading over the Gap and heading towards Blessington/ Britas. Did I mention the wind, holy God! Anyway, after that it was N81 up through Tallaght away from wind and back through Town and homes various. Blasted cheap bike computer died (battery I think) on both bikes so used BikeRouteToaster to get info below. Anyway, great day shorter spin than usual but I think it was a good one just the same ('..because I'm worth it?'). Bath but no beer - bit of an earlier return home than I'm used to these days, ah well. Good luck PlanetX in the vets tomorrow (just read this back and sounds like he's a pup heading for injections or worse....! I'm sure he'll know what I mean). Thanks Joker77 for the extended company - if you keep going like you are, the WW200 will be fine for you, don't worry.
    Stats (some):
    Distance: 113km, Ave: ?, Max: ? Elapsed 07:50 - 13:18, Climb: 1061m, Max: 492m

It comes after you take a right turn off the main street in Newtownmountkennedy at a church on the way to Roundwood. Route screenshot (didn't get to save it) attached.
