    Hi there

Just a quick question, if my company pays for say flights for me as an employee trying to get somewhere, do they end up paying less because they pay no tax?
    Thanks

As far as I know there is no VAT on airline tickets.

I doubt they are exempt from airport taxes.

    Cool thanks :D

And how about hotel expenses outside of the EU?

No idea - is this for a business trip where you are trying to establish the real cost or is this a personal trip you are thinking of doing?

well its for a conference(so it is for business but not like visiting a customer or similar), I m an employee in a company
and I was thinking if i can ask them to get the hotel expense through the company and maybe save me some money? ( or even better, they could pay for the hotel :) )

In theory any company can claim back VAT from another country, but given the administration involved they normally dont bother if they are one off. Either way the hotel will charge you the same amount of taxes regardless if you are company or a tourist.
Why would a company send you to a business conference and not cover your hotel and travel?
