    Hi All
In a bit of a pickle here as to what to do. I had building work done on my house last year, and the majotity of the work is perfect. We have came across some issues that will need sorting, so i dont know should i get a solicitor involved to get the buider back. I have rang him numerous times and he ingonres my calls. This guy was recommended by a so called friend, but it turns out the builder is a dangerous man. Im afraid on nobody but i dont want to bring risk to my family, but i hate the thoughts of the P**** getting away with it. Any comments or suggestion, or should i just forget it and move on.
    Thanks

Assuming he was homebonded you can go through them to get it sorted out, first of all ringing a builder is a waste of time in these matters, the only thing any builder will respond too is something in writing and this would help with either a solicitor or hombond down the line. When you do write make sure it is registered. When you say dangerous, are we talkin Tony Soprano or just your typical dodgy builder ?

Tony Soprano im afraid. This guy is no more Home-bonded either, probably my own fault for getting them, but you go on recommendations. The tradesmen they had on site were top class, it just the bit they did is bad.
I also paid them cash, but have signed reciepts for same.

Have you got a price for rectifying the bad work that is where you should start and then a solicitor i think, if he had any pride he would come back to fix it
