2 quid a week is pretty cheap but will it work? I guess it depends on other major media outlets - do they follow the leader, stay free or charge for certain features?

I admire his stance on this. £1 per day or £2 per week. I'd say the media world is watching that space. Notably he's not sticking the paywall in front of The Sun! The other real test is with the aggregators. If they subscribe and then reproduce for nothing - what's the legal position.

seems the pricing is right, it could work. They need the numbers now to get some real revenue in from it.
