My FR50 packed in last week and i ve been using the OH's FR60 but thinking if im replacing mine I should upgrade to GPS. just wondering if the 205 is worthe getting as its cheaper or is it really worth teh extra for the 305?

is the GPs equal on both and can you set up interval workouts on both?

also does the 205 give your current pace in km/ph?

Well, I waited, but nobody else has picked up on the thread, so here we go..
The only difference between the 205 and 305 is the ability to support optional accessories like the HRM, foot pod, cadence sensor etc. So if you think you will use any of these, you should go for the 305.

For your other questions, the answer is: yes, yes, and yes.

I posted a link previously (in a LIDL thread) to a US eBay site, where you can get the 305 with HRM for under €150 (delivered).

i was tempted to put FAO of krusty in the thread title anyway. thanks for the help. I guess i might use the HRM so will probably go for the 305. Thanks i was looking at that thread earlier alright.

I use the 205 and its cool. No difference between it and the 305 except what KC said. I got a 405 a few months ago but quickly went back to the 205.

You do run the risk of getting nabbed by customs though for the duty / VAT. For an extra €10 you can get it from amazon.co.uk with no risk of that. And quicker delivery too.

€16.82 in the difference, to be exact (today), with the potential to be stung for an additional €30 for customs duty. Yep, Amazon.co.uk is probably the right way to go at the moment. If, however, you have a friend in the US who will be returning to Ireland soon, then it can be yours (via eBay) for €121.25, if they'll carry it back for you.

I got mine from the US w/o being hit for customs. Luck of the draw I'm guessing. You can well afford it anyway! :D
