Derry at home will be a tough match for Cork, although they should win by 4 or 5 points.
They are playing a nice brand of football at the moment and have placed a big emphasis on point scoring from in and around the 40. They have clocked up very good scores in their matches to date with the vast majority coming from play. If they can stop giving away the sloppy goals they would be winning by alot more.

I have to go to the Meath Donegal match in Ballybofey to keep a promise. However I was wondering if any local station in Derry would be covering the match, and if so would the signal reach Ballybofey? Cheers.

After we beet Kerry, I looked at Derry as the one to watch. If the defence can keep the head then Cork by 2 or 3.

Lynch and Spillane start ahead of Sheehan and Cadogan.

Derry a point up. Cork haven't scored in 20 minutes.

Sounds like they needed that good start. I would expect that cork forward line to click in the second half and rattle up a good score. Strange not to score in 20 mins though.

5 points up... didn't score for 20 mins... a point down... up by a goal at HT. Strange half I guess, happy to be a goal up though.

Good stuff, who was doing the scoring do you know?

    Thanks for the updates

Great win for cork, although I thought it would be by more. Good to see Cork keep a clean sheet - and they had to - after conceeding 9 goals in previous 5 games!
I am surprised we were out-point scored but a win is a win - top of the pile - happy days

Goold and Hayes got the goals, Goulding, Goold, Kerrigan, O'Leary and Walsh got the points I think.

Supposed to be a pretty awful performance, Doherty cleaned us out in midfield. Aidan Walsh went off injured, Eoin Cotter went off very early so presumebly he was injured as well. Kerrigan was supposed to be MOTM. Lynch was mixed, generally good but hit at least three wides. A good result I suppose, particularly considering the players we are missing.

Thanks for that. Agree with ya, its good to see the panel showing its strength. Hopefully Kerrigan can bring his current form to the summer with him. Very hard to deal with whens he playing well.

How is Marty Duffy still reffing anything bigger than an U12 junior match?
