Read about this in the Sunday Times...the Presso. It's a manual espresso maker which uses hot water from the kettle and you pull the lever to provide the pressure.

Has anyone else tried this? I'm thinking of getting one but only if I hear decent reviews.

coffeegeek are always good for reviews, this one appears to be the most recent on the presso, the machine itself has been on the market for at least nearly 10 years now so Sunday Times are a bit late with the review

If you want something non-electrical for making an espresso you couldn't go much wrong with this:

Stephen from Hasbean tested it about a year ago too. Verdict seemed to be that it was ok.
