Being paid in dribs and drabs. Worthwhile checking with Portlaoise to make sure everything is in order. Apparently there were 'problems with the database' in recent weeks which has further delayed payments. Basic underlying problem is shortage of funds.

Still haven't been paid a penny for 2009. Have been ringing the Suckler Welfare 1890 number every few days for the past month - it puts you on hold for a minute then goes to voicemail...has some-one done a runner with the funds?!
    Has anybody been paid?

    Ya, Got paid last week.

I had forgotten to put in the Weaning date for the weanlings. Did it online and got paid in the latest round of payments.

Just one other thing..there is supposed to be a calving interval of 300 days for any cow in the scheme. if you want to check the calving date you can put in the following in Excel

=TODAY()-300 (assuming the cow calved today)

or put the date in Cell A1 (format the cell to Date)

and the following in any cell

    =A1-300

This will tell you the date before which the cow should have calved before the current calving date to be eligible. Obviously this is useful before you register the current calf

yep--watch for that..they got me on that one also..the 300 day rule..it never was on the original guidlines/rules..think sometimes they look for any excuse,as not to pay it out..(the money)
