I use this site a lot and just discovered a new feature today, if you go to the Freeview transmitter page:
    http://www.ukfree.tv/txlist.php

and choose a transmitter you can now see areas of colour (theoretical reception) in Ireland.

Strangely I see results in Ireland for both Presely and Llandona but not BlaenPlwyf.

I just noticed this too just a few minutes ago! Very cool. I checked some areas it mentioned (eg Killybegs, Letterkenny, Strabane) and all spots seem to match up to its coverage prediction. I know it's just approximate but nice to see!

Computer predicted/generated by the looks of things as it shows llandonna in the higher parts of wicklow.
The reality may not be the case.

Theoretically it also shows Brougher and Divis possible high in the wicklow mtns which if unobstructed, they probably are aswell.

Yes, I understand but what's interesting (as I said above) is that it shows NO reception for BlaenPlwyf in Ireland:confused:

perhaps it's shielded to it's entire towards Ireland?

Or do they factor in reports from here :p

Ther'll be a bright yellow round rathdrum soon so :pac:

I would take these maps with a VERY big pinch of salt: they have no official status and are not correct in the real world. The owner of that web site is not always accurate with his information. They are wrong for Caldbeck, Winter Hill and a number of others. The NI ones are pre-DSO maps.
