You have a child. And a home. That's something.

If you're in debt maybe you should consider a job rather than staying at college.

    That's very bad advice techni-fan.
It's hardly a good idea to leave college in your 3rd year. Once she finishes she will have more prospects of getting a half decent job (even in current climate) - especially as she has a child to raise.

Break it down OP. If money is a major issue go to MABs and see what you can do initially re. finances.

Other than that I'm not clear on what the most major issues are for you but well done on studying and raising your daughter alone :)

have to agree with jessiegirl. think of all th things you have done for you and your daughter! Can't allow your life to crumble. It's not just you counting on your strength. You're setting an example. A very good one by the sounds of it. My life's a mess at the moment, but that's a story for a different day. Think of what's ahead, not in the past. Good Luck and Godbless

If sounds like you are going through a real hard spot. :(

The best thing to do is to focus on the end result. Draw up a plan of campaign with regards to study and money, speak to your bank manager if you can and see if they can help you draw up some kind of financial plan and keep focussing on getting your qualification and getting a good job.

Do you have any way of meeting other parents in the area if baby-sitters are hard to find? I met a load of new people when my wee man started school so that's something else to look forward to.

Try to keep hold of the positives, it's really hard now but hopefully this will be the worst things ever get. Once you have the ability to get a good job and get more money, your wee person will start school and life will get better and easier, keep your chin up, you're fantastic job juggling everything!

    Best of luck :)

Yeah go to your bank manager,

These days banks are easy going with payments.

Maybe even go to another Bank Manager , get a LOAN to pay off your own bank, and do a deal with them to pay back when your graduate...try anything

Go to your Student Union (Ask for advice)
Go to your Local County Council

How much money due to owe the bank?

Also remember the semester is nearly over, get to summer you might get a job.

single mom to beautiful four year old.

Fair play to you, you are obviously a good Mum
in third year of college course.

Fair play to you, you are obviously smart.
    completely broke.overdraft-drawn and loans

Like the most of us, im afraid :(
    no family support at all.

That is hard, but so far you seem to be doing pretty well without their support!
best friend moving to australia for the year next month.

Texts to Oz are about 15c, email is free and you can skype.
    relationship ended 2 months ago.

Sorry to hear that, and the break up may be to raw for you right now but it will get better and there will come a time where you will go "phew, glad im no longer with them"
live in an ok place but know noone

Yes you do know people, you know people in college, living around your area etc you just havent struck up a friendship with them yet, try and do this, even if you are shy (i dont know, im just saying even if) you have nothing to lose by talking to "strangers" and seeing if you click and become friends.

    im slowly crumbling..

I dont beleive that for one second a smart lady who can raise a beautiful 4 year old daughter, with no family support and with under financial duress is crumbling! Your having a "oh ****, everything is kinda ontop of me" time at the moment and you will be fine, just realise all you have achieved, your potential to achieve so much more and keep going, you are doing better than you think, i for one admire you and what you have achieved and i dont know you from Adam! :)

i read all your replies this morning...i have tears running down my face at a steady rate...

i love my daughter and i love my course so much and i know it would be better for her for me to continue...but doing long shifts in the hospital is so hard when you have noone to help mind her.

im going to see my community welfare officer this morning and students union so hopefully someone can help.

semester and my placement is nearly over so my aim for now is to get that far and finish 3rd year.

    thank you all xx
