Can anyone recommend shops in Dublin to buy/hire a 1930's style dress? Going to a wedding of that theme. I know there are some in Dublin, but cant seem to find very much on the net. Any advice pls?

Hi, thanks....I've had a look, but they don't seem to do anything on the 1930's era

    That dress isn't 1930s, it's 1950s.

OP, authentic 1930s clothing will be very difficult, if not impossible, to buy. Try Jenny Vander on Drury Street, Dublin 2 as they may have them for hire.

    Ebay!

You mightn't get an actual dress from the 1930's but there is amazing vintage and you'll definitely find something that will suit. Might take a couple of days trawling through all the rubbish first though :)

A store is born on Clarendon street usually has a good selection of really great old vintage, but it is quite expensive. They def hire stuff out but don't know if they would hire stuff that old as its prob very delicate.

Its open saturdays only, 11 - 6ish, its next door to a boutique called Emma near the St. Stephens green end of the street.

I forgot Jean Cronin in the Loft Market does the best (for price and cool) vintage in Dublin. Really beautiful dresses for €50 up and she has an archive if you're looking for something specific. Say I sent you and hopefully she'll be extra nice :D
