A 90-year-old man killed his 89-year-old wife in a domestic dispute at a retirement home in the US.

Police said Virginia Bunz was found dead on Sunday morning at the Amberleigh Retirement Community.

Her husband, John, had self-inflicted wounds and has been charged with second-degree murder.

He is being held at a jail in Buffalo, New York, after being treated at a hospital.
