Thought the last plane in #4 was a bit crazy, till I saw #3:eek:

Hats off to the pilot in #2 for doing what he did in a plane of that size.

This is one of the best ever commercial aircraft fly bys.

this is one of the more notable flyby's of an airliner, because it cost the pilots their jobs

How come the TAP pilot got away with it? (opposed to being fired like the CP pilots.)

The thing about this episode is that the tower did clear the CX crew to conduct a fly-by (if they didn't there would have been a FAA violation). The aircraft was full of CX management and the Captain was actually praised until an article appeared in a Hong Kong news paper, after this the management actually did a 180 and the Captain was dismissed. If a fly by is properly conducted there is no danger to it. Now when you collect an aircraft from Seattle you have to sign a disclaimer!

Heh. I actually saw the #1 one live. San Francisco, Fleet Week, about 2006.

Greeks do that sort of thing a lot.

There's one video somewhere of an F-4 flying between hangars, I'll try and find it.

Banana Bombers weren't the greatest respecters of altitude minima either.
