I got bored and start looking for insurance quotes even though im covered till october. No nonsense quoted me just over 700 for my current car (colt) and 940 for the new megane I have on order. Quinn are charging me 1100 on the colt at the moment and want near 1400 when I change to the megane.

Can I cancel my old insurance and go to no nonsense without bein penalized? Or will I have to wait till October? Or can I cancel it when I change cars?

Define penalized? You won't get your years NCB on October, other than that fire away.

Before you do though, give quinn a call and see if they can match it, if so then you won't have to move anywhere, won't have to start a new year to get your NCB and you may have cheaper insurance.

I looked at no nonsense but to be honest its really "ryanair" insurance, if I can use the term. They just give you basic 3rd party insurance and charge a lot for anything you add like driving other cars, breakdown assist, windscreen cover etc.

I went through 123 in the end. If I got the same type of cover from NO Nonsence, adding all the options that came as standard with tpf&t, "no non" came out more expensive.

I noticed that yeah. I could have gotten it cheaper but I matched it like for like as close I could. 123 quoted me 2400
