Film at start of Planet Terror

    Anyone see Tarantino's Planet Terror, well at the start of it there is a trailer, i didn't think it was a real film, but a friend of mine said he heard about it being released.. can anyone shed some light on this?

    It has an impressive cast and it has already begun filming, I saw a few set pictures a few months ago. Hopefully it will get released some time this year.

    Just to be a bit pedantic, and because I hate for Tarantino to get credit for something that is not his own work:). Planet terror is a Robert Rodriguez film, Death Proof was the Tarantino half of Grindhouse

    I never understood why Danny Trejo hasn't been the lead yet in more high budget action film. He always seems to be used as a bit actor or muscle man (criminally underused in Heat).

    He's got screen presence and character. He could pass for Charles Bronsons illegitimate son from a trip to Tijuana :pac:

    I mean he looks like a bad ass Mexican. I'd well believe he'd be running around blowing sh!t up and throwing machetes at peoples faces.

    Pretty boys are the ones who get the big action gigs these days. Studios are too lazy to try and market a film these days with someone like Trejo in the lead.

    Trejo is in the new Predators movie (nepotism goes a long way in hollywood)
