Best way to move sky+ to new house ?

I have sky+ in my current residence (I am over the 12 months contract).

I am about to move to a new house that has Sky dish installed but not sky+ (just one cable from dish).

I want to stop the Sky+ subscription at my current place and 'move' it to my new house.

Is my only option to cancel my current Sky+ subscription and request Sky+ to be installed as a new customer at the new house as two separate requests ?

Or is there a better more cost effective way to do this ?

Would there be any benefit for me taking the Sky dish down from the new place and pretending there is no Sky there at all ?

I'm dreading going through the ordering/engineer not turning up/Skycard missing etc etc fiasco - but if there are any wise words on how I need to do this I'd be grateful.

    Thanks.

    You can do either.
The easiest is to just unplug your Sky box in the old place and plug it in to the new place. Then, sometime soon, just call Sky and tell them your address has changed. The Sky box won't stop working in a new address! (So long as the existing dish in the new house is pointing at Astra2D, where Sky broadcast from)

Alternativley, you could cancel Sky and order and new install at the new place. The benifit to this is that you will get another Sky box, free, maybe even a HD if you wanted, and you could keep the old one in another room form Free to Air channesl etc.

You will need a new LNB in the new house (if there is only one cable) though to take advantage of the Sky+ and/or multiroom. At local satellite installer would do this for you for about €60 euro, or thereabouts.

just take the quad lnb from the house that your in now and put on the dish in your new house.

then call sky and tell them your address has changed
