just got a diesel van, when to service???

    Hi , Jut got a 2002 ford courier van.

    Am new to diesels and was wondering how many kms can you do before filter and oil change becomes nessercery (forgive spelling)

    Also how many kms before cam belt should be changed??
    Is there a rule of thumb for these/ or has someone prior knowledge of vans?

    Any van i've had over the years(mostly company vans)Berlingo's,Caddys Etc I've always get them serviced every 10k-12k miles.As a rule get the belts done every 60K miles or 5 years to be safe.Have Berlingo HDI at moment.The manual says change belts @80K miles,But done mine @ 6oK miles as it seems to be recommended.Is your van the TDDI engine.If so same engine as Fiesta/Focus

    I'd get it serviced soon after buying it as who knows what sort of a history it had before. After that I can't comment though :o
