Does anyone know the rule for sure in the following two examples.

    1.

Say I place a £1 Lucky each way 15 where the bookie pays 3 times the odds for 1 winner.

Only one selection wins but another selection is placed. Do I still get 3 times the odds on the winner or is the bonus lost because one of the other selections was placed?

    2.

Say I have 1 winner, 2 losers and a non runer. do i lose the bonus of 3 times on the winner?

1: Treble odds for the winner. Place singles and place double for the places. 2: If there is a non runner bet is treated as a Patent so no bonus.

Thanks. But some inconsistency with bookies. A lot won't give you 3 times the odds were another selection is placed in my experience

Some dont offer any consolation bonus at all. Some only offer double. Occasionally you can get x4. Think PP and Celtic always offer treble.

If they offer treble the odds on a winner they should pay that if another is placed, the ew and win parts of your docket are seperate bets. If you back a horse ew and it dead heats the dead heat half stake applies to the win bet, you still get the ful place return. On specials when win stakes are refunded if your horse finishes 2nd to the fav it applies to the win part of ew bets, I would challenge any bookie who wouldn't give me treble the odds on a single winner in a lucky 15 if other ones are placed (obviously providing that they offer treble the odds on a single win)
