Which Netbook?

My sister is looking to get one of these for her birthday. She will be using it for college: browsing of notes while in lectures, maybe a small bit of note taking and probably a fair bit of essay writing while at home (can use a USB keyboard and a separate screen) and also she'll be using it to watch tv online and facebook etc.
I assume all Netbooks will have a VGA/DVI connection for a monitor but will they be able to run better resolutions than on their own screen?
Currently I'm leaning towards a Acer Aspire 532H-2D which is just under €300 on komplett. Any thoughts on this or it's competition and where else is good to shop?
    Thanks

Amazon.co.uk is nice for netbooks, check out their best sellers and you can sometimes spot good bargains.

I like the look of the Asus 1001P (Link), for £229 its got the new Atom N450 , and an awesome battery life - they say 11hrs, but even if they're lying by a few hours its still amazing.

I have the Acer Aspire One (751) with 11.6"screen. I think its great for browsing, excel and word. 4 hours battery life from the 3 cell battery (there is a six cell available).
Its good enough to run You tube, wouldn't go for a smaller screen and don't know how you could live with one. I sit it on top of the HP laptop which I rarely power on!
Would highly recommend a wireless logitech mouse with usb stick receiver, it has the zoom button and a backwards forwards selector, makes it very quick to navigate the internet. All fit nicely into a Keycamp sachel! :P

Id recommend a Lenovo S10-2. I get 4-5hrs out of it and its 10inch screen is doable especially if your carrying other things in the bag as shes a student. my one was around 330 euros and no doubt the newer version has the 1024x768 screen. sound is reasonable and 3 usb sockets and vga and ethernet sockets are enough for me.has wifi of course..
I downgraded from a X60T tablet Lenovo due the the weight more thn anything else. anyway look around and it all depends on your budget and needs i guess. regards, D
