Just wondering on Hollywood and Brazilian waxings - are they sore when re-growing?

    :)

When the wax lady tells you to exfoliate afterwards LISTEN to her! If you do this regrowth will be painless, if you don't, you can potentially get ingrown hairs. Not exactly agonizing but very irritating and unsightly. You can also buy lotions that help prevent ingrown hairs, definately worth getting.

Exfoliating and moisturising twice a week for a few weeks before and after waxing will prevent any nasties! :)

Personally Iv never gotten the whole lot off, the idea of it kinda freaks me out, a bit too unnatural or something, so the landing strip for me! :)

I think if it's your first time, it might be better to go for just a bikini wax at first - and see if your skin is able to handle waxing before going closer to the really sensitive bits.

I agree and get a patch test before anything else.

I personally get a Hollywood as I am just a bit of an all or nothing person! I got a landing strip once and was itchy as I was used to having noting. Its all personal preference anyway!

    Good luck x

If you're used to waxing, then close your eyes and pick one of the options to try . . . it's just hair -- if you don't like it, it'll grow back soon enough!

I've gotten regular bikini waxes, and Californian waxes, (more off than a bikini wax, but not quite as much as a Brazilian), and I never noticed any problems with the regrowth. It's a bit more painful when you're actually getting waxed (more sensitive areas) but that's really the only disadvantage. You just need to exfoliate & moisturise, same as with the bikini wax

My waxing place does Bikini, Extended Bikini, In Betweeny, Brazilian and Hollywood.

Went for an In Betweeny for the first time last week (usually an extended bikini gal) and loving it!!

Never had a problem with re-growth, touch wood!

So went for the Brazilian yesterday and it was painless, but then again I don't mind waxing - a bit embarrassing at first what with no underwear on but my Beautician is really chatty so it was fine.

I'm a fan of brazillian, I've never had any problems with regrowth. Ideally you should get them every 6 weeks or so. If it's your first time going I'd suggest that you 'trim back' with a sisscors before you go.

    pp.
