Beware of older common rail diesels (wherever you see a 'c' as in DCi or TDCi). 6+ year old common rails are ticking time bombs because when they were released it was still a relatively new technology, very complex with much that can go wrong. Fuel is at enormous pressure and many pumps particularly delphi's disintegrate. Also Ireland went through years of cheap diesel that lacked the lube required to properly maintain these high pressure fuel systems.
Repairs are seriously expensive as you have to replace the entire fuel system from tank to injection.0 -
