I know this question has been asked a lot and there are all sorts of debates regarding quality, keeping it Irish etc. But I am wondering has anyone experience in the following and if so what did it cost them:

    Website development
    Shopping cart
    1-5 products
Simple navigational site, no 100 windows or whatever
    5 pages plus shop

As I say I have one product, it'll come in 3 sizes and all you have to do is pick the colours.. Nice and simple!!! Famous last words...

Could this be done for 500-1000 or 1000-3000 ballpark? Anyone done it recently.. It doesnt need to be updated a lot so it can be simple...

    Cheers in advance..

    Hi there,
    shouldn't cost you more than 500 - 1000.
It's a very simple project by the sounds of things.
Use an opensource CMS with e-commerce capabilities, there's lots of them around.

Like any thread really it'll boil down to this FusionNet. You'll get someone saying they'll do it for €99, others for a hell of a lot more, and others in between.

Somewhere like this may be good to look through, you'll also get an idea of the price ranges. I've selected the Ireland section, although you may want to look internationally.

I've gotton our website done only this January and I am delighted with it, I already recommended Spiralli Business Solutions to someone else the other day but I figure a good experience and good service is worth the mention to anyone - check out http://www.spiralli.ie/ and give Niamh or Ivan a buzz regarding your website needs.. I went to them with a similarly simple brief and they did a great job for a great price, they'll help you with whatever you need! I really found them so easy to talk to - no techy talk like you get with some web people, and at the end of the day - they are Irish so you'd be supporting your own n all that!
Hope they can help you out :)

Hi guys, thanks for that... Some very interesting suggestions. Just on Lauras one there.. The people might be nice and helpful but no disrespect their site is terrible, that would worry me a little.. But saying that sometimes your better off with a good personality you can work through content etc rather than a pain in the *** thats all that!!

    Keep the suggestions coming :)

You also have to consider payment methods aswell in relation to an online store. Will the site be extendible (is that the correct word- my head is addled,- what I mean is will you say in five yrs time will you have 5000 products as opposed to one).

There are a number of scripts out there that should suffice, fire me off a PM and I will try assist you should you require help
