Duathalon training

    Hi,

    I am doing a Duathlon at the end of april. it is 10k run 40k bike and 5k run

    this will be my first. I have not ran a 10k race before, but I can run 5k in

    around 18mins. I have not done loads on the bike recently, I am planning on

    trying to do 2 fastish 42 mile spins, a week and two 1 hour intervals on the

    trainer a week. I also run 9 miles twice a week and do an hour farklek.


    I am clueless to what way I should be training for this, any tips?

    and also any tips for the race? say if I can run 10k in 40min in a race,

    should I aim for 45min in the Duathlon to pace myself?
