The stopwatch with HRM and pedometer for €21.99 looks a good offer:

and you gotta love the €2.99 running socks.

Wow - the damage they will do to you in a crash.

Would you were a €3 lidl helmet on the bike?

Cheers I'll have to head over.

It's been said before but does anyone actually buy runners in Aldi? You would have to be nuts.

A Lidl Lid?!? - N'ah I reckon It'd be worth splashing out on a decent helmet, and decent runners instead of the ones they are selling.

But what's the problem with the sunglasses??

Lenses shatter on all cheap glasses and most "expensive" glasses. Two exploding pieces of glass beside your face and eyes is not ideal. Trust me I've been there, have the scars.

I assume you're talking about if you fall while running / cycling?

What are the chances of landing face first though?

Also, do you ever wear sunglasses because of this? If so, could you recommend a safer pair?

Talking mainly cycling to be honest, odd of falling face first, quite high.

I went for high end oakleys. I had enough scars and damage to my head i really didn't care about money on protective equipment.

I had been wearing expensive rudy projects but its turns out its not a matter of how much you pay but rather what you get.

Not a hope in hell! That's the one thing I don't skimp on, but I have Aldi/Lidl clothing and it's done me fine so far.

    Are they not polycarbonate?

As for helmets, everything sold here has to conform to the European standard for protection. The difference between cheap and expensive is weight, ventilation, appearance and possibly comfort - oh and you won't find the pros wearing Lidl, if that sort of thing matters to you.

I have the Lidl glasses from last year's collection ().

They don't look quite the same as these ones, but they are plastic (polycarbonate I presume) and they have a CE mark on them. So, I guess they must conform to some standards. I think they're great, for running at least.
