NCT & Service

I have my NCT coming up in the next 3 weeks, and have been considering my options. I have a service due, as its 11 months since my last. Whats the best course of action? To do a full service and then the NCT, or to do a pre NCT and then do a full service after the NCT.

If I get a full service, will the mech look out of NCT pitfalls, so I can kill 2 birds with one stone? Its a 02 BMW 316, and it seems in reasonable shape.

    Many thanks for advice

Run it thru the NCT first, see what if any faults come back.
Then fix them. But i'd do a few jobs/checks on the car you could do yourself.
Check bulbs, tyres and change the air filter(not a major job).
Bit of a clean too and fingers crossed.

The best pre nct is the nct itself, why give it to a mechanic who will fix things that might or might not fail!
