US healthcare vote: Obama finally wins

    So, Obama has just won the biggest victory of his presidency tonight and 32 million of the poorest US citizens will now have health insurance, despite not a single Republican supporting him. This is great news for Obama's entire presidency.

    The vote was close: 219 for; 212 against.

    It is a slamming indictment of the democracy of US politics that not a single Republican voted for the bill. Are you seriously trying to tell me that not a single Republican was in favour of the Bill and that it wasn't party politics almost saw this bill scrapped?

    Delighted for Obama and the US.
