    Putting together a work CV.
I just finished working for a guy who basically designs people's gardens, cuts their grass, cuts down - and plants - their trees and shrubs, cuts the soil into various shapes (see how much of an expert I am).

I basically was a hired monkey - I cut grass, lifted stuff, cleared away debris, etc.

I don't know what to put down for my Cv. Assistant to landscape designer??

    edit: thanks for the replies

Second this. It also sounds half way decent, and the job title explains the work you did.

Does nobody use the term "gardener" any more?

Yes, but one would imply a profession and the other would imply a hobbie. My grandad is a gardener, but he doesn't design gardens, he plants them up, arranges what plants/shrubs/trees goes where and looks after their welfare. He doesn't design lawns, gardens, ponds or rockeries. There is a difference in my opinion.

You could call yourself an assistant landscaper? That's basically what you done.

Architect is now a regulated term. It is an offence to call yourself an Architect unless you are registered with the Architecture Council or some other QUANGO-esque body whose name is unimportant

    better settle for

    Assistant Landscape Draughtsman so

    or

    Terraformer
