    Don't know if this has been posted before but thought I'd post it anyway.

    A brief interview with Ronan Gallagher of UPC Ireland;

    Wow, what a dreadful way to conduct an interview, let him answer the question and potentially challenge him on it, rather then just jumping to another completely unrelated question.

    Nothing particularly new where, UPC don't have much interest in the analogue TV service, they want to push everyone onto digital, for perfectly understandable reasons, but then I do think they need to offer cheaper digital multiroom.

    Perhaps €7.50 mirror sub and €2 for just the 17 analogue channels, but over digital.

    Sure mirror sub is now only €5.

    That is interesting, but Digital+ HD is €10.

    I still think they will need a €2 cut down multiroom sub if they want to get rid of analogue.

    That would make three rooms the same price as analogue €24.75 and four rooms only slightly more. I think that would be acceptable to get most people move off analogue.

    As far as I'm aware Digital+HD is now only €5, same as Digital+ ?

    Yes, Digital+ HD is €5 for the first room but €10 for a second room.

    At this stage they should really make Digital+ free, like Sky do, just with a minimal charge for the box.

    Getting rid of direct debit as the only method to pay that price would also help

    Just cancel your D/D. What are they gonna do? As long as you're on time with payments you'll be fine.

    That's not the problem with D/D .The problem is they get your money first and make you work to get it back if there is a problem with your account

    Id upgrade aswell only for this. Im not going to sign DD then have then take 500 out of my bank account due to installation fees etc and not being able to get the money back from them.

    Has anyone ever put in incorrect DD info and upgraded? Do they actually check the account info is correct before the installation?

    I agree 100% with you. It IS a totally dreadful way to conduct an interview, but isn't this the whole point of the YouTube poster, in getting in as many questions as possible in 5 min?
    Ronan Gallagher, Strategy & Planning manager at UPC Ireland, was the first subject in The Blitz. This new series of interviews on Villa81.com grills interviewees for exactly 5 minutes with questions submitted by our viewers.

    Basically, the interviewer has no control over the questions and can't follow up on further discussions :(
