i am thinking of going to this game in a purely neutral perspective. but would like to know if there would be any point as in have either team been putting in good performances so far this year? and are the two starting teams likely to match in any way the potential starting team for the championship?

Galway have been awful. We are guaranteed to be beaten in midfield every single match. When Padraic Joyce retires we are truly ****ed.

Galway will get hammered,Midfield is non existent,Cullinane and Bergin are useless any attempt they make to catch a ball.
It seems Kernan is just good and spouting crap to the media and constantly blaming this that and everything.
So much for all this hard training pre season,he has not a clue and I think we are looking at Galway go down this year

Much improved performance after last week especially considering we're missing 4 top class players in Joyce, Meehan, Armstrong and Bradshaw

Conroy is turning into a fine player, he has came on leaps and bounds over the past year, i remember commenting to someone a few weeks back and i said i think he lacks the strength to make his mark at senior but he's proved that comment wrong in the league to date.

Reilly is also looking a good prospect in defence.

Concannon also gave a good account and considering how many chances lads like Breathnach and Dunleavy have got (and failed), i think he should get a start again in the next game.

I'd still like to see the introduction of one or both Corofin midfielders as there's just been too much shifting around in there over the years, Cullinane isn't up to it, and i'd rather give Bergin a HF position with the instructions to go back for kick outs. So i'd be looking at Conroy along with someone else, that person isn't in the panel anyway, time new blood was given a chance.

Same old story overall, usual lads putting in good performances, i mentioned him in the other thread last week, and I'll say it again, Damien Burke has to go, he gave away 3 poor free's today, his discipline is next to none and someone mustn't have told him that a free leads to a FREE UNPRESSURED SHOT.
A bit of physicality is needed and sometimes is can lead to a free, but he pulls players down like they're in on goal when if he just kept pressuring there's a better chance someone will give a sloppy pass off or put a kick under pressure wide.... happens all the time.

Is he the same lad off the AIT sigerson team?

checked the paper this morning and saw the kickoff was for 2.30 at pearse stadium.brought my daughter along for the craic.low and behold myself and around 40 other fools rolled up and the ground was empty.i wasn't too bothered about missing the game and my daughter who was six and has no interest was delighted to head to the beach.but there was a good few tyrone cars arriving and they were raging.all the papers had for pearse stadium.they tried belting it out to tuam....bad media reporting especially if you are after travelling from tyrone.a good win for galway.tyrone to be relegated.

The game was always set for Tuam but yeah I saw it down as Pearse Stadium in more than a couple of places beforehand.

I missed the match as I away at a stag. Seen it on the Sunday sport last night and got the download for some lads at work this morning. That performance was badly wanted. Big turn around from last Sunday.

I also read somewhere that the match was in Salthill but put it down as poor reporting. I can see how people could get caught out, it’s unfortunate. Even today I’ve read on http://www.hoganstand.com/Galway/ArticleForm.aspx?ID=125712 that the game was played in Pearse Stadium.
