Not a bad choice, he can act and he was great in Sunshine, has the all-America look about him. I would have went with John Hamm from Mad Men:

wonder will they use cgi to make him look skinny ala Tobey Maguire in Spider-Man? be kinda pointless if hes already a buffed, good looking guy as Steve Rogers in the beginning. It'll work if its mostly set in the 40's and then he gets unfrozen in a world that no longer likes America (ie now)

John Hamm??? Maybe Tony Stark/Bruce Wayne but defo not Captain America..way to old for the part

Hamm is a bit too old (as would be Aaron Eckhart, personally my pick) but he's perfect for Batman/Superman/that new Lone Ranger movie

Evans is a great choice, he proved his acting abilities in Sunshine and was one of the better parts in the FF movies. I'd prefer that actors were only associated with one iconic comic character, but it's not like there's gonna be an Avengers/FF crossover movie!

Much much better choice then channing Tatum So I'll happily go along with him.
