No it's right. But make sure you stick to the trains you book, otherwise you'll get hit for the full fare

They tend to have offers like that, it may only be for certain trains though.

    There wasn't a month ago:)

Only toll you may worry about is the M 50.

"Standard class web fares only" according to the website.

sorry for wrecking yer heads but when booking online is the €3 fee per ticket or just the cost of using your credit card so if i bought 4 tickets would it still be €3?

Yeah just one fee per transaction. Free if you have a laser card.

Seems like there should be an FAQ on the irish rail website for this kind of stuff.

Suggest that to www.railusers.ie they seem to be able to make progress on getting feedback for the website acted upon.

For reasons that you have no way of knowing, I'll have to decline. Besides I'm sure they, in their infinite wisdom of all things transport, have suggested it before.

Not anymore. I just booked online there. There's now a 2 euro charge. Cnuts.

Per Transaction. Certain Irish airlines charge you a lot more per passenger.

They do indeed. Good on you to draw a comparison.

Concerning Irish Rail, the passengers weren't paying a 2 euro charge up until a few weeks ago. Now they are. This is somewhat annoying.

My post was intended to pass on this update - not really for you to offer the price structure of Irish airlines.

Easily avoided. Westbound take Exit 18 and this brings you back onto the old N7 and on to Borris in Ossory. Westbound go straight at the roundabout instead of turning right for the motorway.

Is there a requirement for online bookings to have a no transaction fee option, just like Ryanair have by paying with the prepaid mastercard option. Should Irish rail have to offer an option like this??
