    Hi guys n gals:

I have a HP Pavilion Slimline Desktop PC at home. I currently have AVG 9.0 on it. Recently, I got notification of a "licence number" for the software. When I click on the AVG Icon in the task bar at the bottom of the screen to try to update it, I get a "General Error" message with a little green square and a white X in the middle of it?

The following is the licence number that I received: 8I-NEC00-MV7HF-BSLSR-ZRHF0-PECAD-WGM2.

    Any ideas what to do?

Not sure of the error but have you tried uninstalling it, rebooting and re-installing?

I would reinstall it, assuming youve already got the updated license number for it.

Something strange there. Check your on-line banking ability for any odd purchases to be safe - just in case.

You shouldn't have to purchase it again, contact AVG themselves for help!

Have logged the problem online, as I couldn't get through on the phone. Bloody typical!

AVG Free edition? Until you can figure out why your payment isnt going through. Dont leave your computer exposed.

Next step is to call your bank and ask for your account status.
