    Just wondering what types of allowances can you get when on jsa . I hear people talking about cloths allowance etc but just wondering if anyone could help me

    You need to be more specific about your circumstances, are you single, living at home, parent, renting accomodation etc.

    There are numerous allowances available but aimed at certain situations only.

    ok im living at home not a parent paying my mom and dad 50 a week . Single. anything else needed let me know ?

    Hi again,

    The bad news is your are likely not to be entitled to any allowances due to the fact you are living at home. I am unsure of your age but this won't make a difference as you are living at home. It may seem unfair but that the nature of things

    If say you where renting (but at least 6 months in private rented accommodation) you may be entitled to Rent allowance, fuel allowance for certain fuels, coal, gas etc)

    You would certainly not be entitled to clothes allowances etc. Most other allowances are aimed at families, children and some minor allowances such as mortgage interest relief for mortgage holders in difficulty.

    Sorry about this but your circumstances are such you would have very little entitlements beyond JSB if you have three or more years full time employment or JSA if you don't. Both are the roughly the same payment, the exception being JSA is means tested.

    oh right ya thanks for clearing that up for me . Say people i know are just screwing the system so something i dont want to do
