Im looking for an engine for my 2003 Audi A4 1.8 tubro Petrol. It gave up two weeks ago and I have tried loads scrapyards in Ireland with not luck. I can get an engine in England for £1,885 and in the current climate I just dont have that sort of money. To make it worse i bought an engine out of an 1997 A6 last week thinking it would fit but it doesn't now im 600 euro down with no engine some one please Help:confused:

    That was foolish.
Be sure to get the same engine code if you just want an easy swap over.

I was told that the engine would go straight in by a friend but all he could say was sorry when we had both engines out on the ground. And i know about the engine code but as long as the engine is out of any Audi 1.8t from 2001 on they are the same and im not going off spending nearly £2000 on an engine that isnt even new. oh ya Limerick
