Hi , looking for help, have a 99 c220 cdi and the bonnet pull or cable seems to have broken. There is no pressure in the orange pull in the car and the bonnet will not lock down outside. Any Ideas what might be wrong ?:o

The cable has probably become disconnected from the bonnet pull. Try look behind it and re-connect it. If the bonnet itself wont close then the cable is probably just stuck, try pushing the cable in (towards the front of the car)while someone pushes down on the bonnet.
It may just be a case of re-connecting the cable and lubricating it. Worst case scenario you might need to replace the cable.
