    Garda cars that is!:)

Snapped this while waiting at a bus stop, buses can't pull into the bay of the bus stop itself as its way is blocked so we the bus customers have to go to the kerbside of road to get on the bus!;):)

Its at the back of Pearse St Garda station on Townsend st, Dublin

    Totally miss leading thread title.

It's illegal for cars to be parked in bus stops, but Gardaí in the course of their duties are exempt from most traffic laws. Did you walk across the road and complain?

    Edit/
Video quality isn't great but there's space to get out at the front and the entrance doesn't look to be blocked. Unless you say it was blocked the title should be "Bus drivers won't enter Bus bay cause it's a bit tight".

Starting from the first car to the 4th car(left to right), the bus could not pull in as the 4th car(which is first blockage) was blocking the entrance. There is indeed space at the front just past the bus stop but it ain't long enough for the bus to pull in at the bus stop itself

When my bus did come, he did not pull in into the bus stop because he could not.

Have you seen it in the morning. They park their private cars on the footpath on double yellow lines effectively blocking off one lane of Townsend St which is a lot busier after the bus gate restrictions came in.

Private by ownership but flying a tax disc of convenience for parking purposes.

Its a joke. Some have blocked the footpath completely and are parked up so close to the front doors of the houses along there i don't know how people get out. Would be walking across the bonnet myself

Nothing can be done I'm afraid, once they have got the exempt tax disc for their private car the clampers wont take any action.

Who gets an 'exempt tax disc' for their private car then?

This made me smile this morning: coming from the West into Kilmainham, I was stopped at a red light in the right turn lane at the end of Con Colbert road (that stupid junction where the South Circular crosses the N6). A squad car drove up in the next lane (for Heuston station), stopped beside me blocking his lane, and started to indicate.

I couldn't let him in, as my lights were red. The lights for town were green, and he was slap in the middle of a very busy junction, so the traffic behind started to beep him out of it. 30 seconds of that and he had to give up and roar off into town.

    Hee, hee!
