I used to go to World Gym on Talbot Street about 10 years ago and they used to do these lovely protein cheesecakes there from the fridge. They came in a rectangular container. I don't know if anyone knows what I'm talking about but, if so, does anyone know where I can get them in Dublin city nowadays?

Well a standard cheese cake (well OK, a standard cooked one) would have cottage cheese and eggs as the main ingredients. Find a replacement for the sugar in the filling and the butter in the base and you should be set.

    Hi There

I know what you are talking about, but unfortunately I have no idea where you could get them these days.

However it would not be hard to make your own.

Juice of 4 of 5 lemons
Grated zest of 1 or 2 lemons
Enough water to make up to around a pint when mixed with the lemon juice
Maybe a tbl spoon or two of sugar or honey
    1 sachet of gelatine
    3 x 225g tubs of Cottage Cheese

Warm up the juice, water and sugar/honey and dissolve the gelatine in it.

Allow it to cool some, then throw the cottage cheese into a blender, add in the liquid and blend until smooth consistency.

Pour into plastic Tupperware containers and place in fridge over night.

I make something similar using mixed berries, cottage cheese and gelatine. It's delic :)

    Hope that helps,

    M

I have made a protein type mousse using unflavoured whey and sugar free strawberry jelly, just dissolve the crystals in a little water and mix in ready mixed protein & water or milk.

I used to buy the same ones and then made my own.

Less complicated ( and prob not as tasty as above) but I used crushed bran flakes with some honey for the base and fromage frais with lemon juice for the top with whey mixed in.
    Use Chinese containers for them!
